Description:
Humegard™ is a unique product design effectively captures and retains gross pollutants form stormwater runoff. It comprises a specially shaped floating boom which diverts material entrained in stormwater flows from the separator into an adjacent holding chamber can be installed in variety drainage systems.
As a gross pollutant trap, the Humegard™ product is primarily focused on the capture and retention of the following pollutants:

Anthropogenic litter often classified as material greater than 5mm in size such as plastic bottles and containers, aluminum cans, paper and plastic wrapping materials, polystyrene, syringes, cigarette butts and other general refuse

Coarse inorganic sediment particles, classified as material greater than 75 - 150 in diameter

Organic material such as leaf litter and vegetation

During normal flow the angled boom directed all flow into storage chamber where the gross pollutants are separated and stored.
During peak flows, or under tidal influence, the angled boom floats and continues to direct all floating litter into the storage chamber. The regulated flow ensured previously trapped materials are retained.
Velocity through the device is controlled to prevent the blockage of the comb.
